NORDIK.HOUSE ginger cookie workshop – decorations
Making and decorating gingerbread cookies is a typical Nordic Christmas tradition.
Decorated gingerbread cookies are delicious to eat but also to give as a thoughtful gift and can be used as Christmas tree decorations.
In the workshop, in a joyful Christmas atmosphere, you will decorate homemade gingerbread cookies with your own hands. The price includes materials and instruction and, of course, everyone will take home decorated cookies. A Nordic Christmas snack will be served during the class.
The workshop will be led by Mia Fossati, who will return for an afternoon to her roots as a Pastry Chef to teach and reveal some secrets about the most renowned techniques of decorations in the magical world of Gingerbread Cookies!
Mia introduces herself: “My path in the culinary world began in Helsinki, Finland, where I earned the diplomas of Chef Baker and Chef Pastry Chef at Roihuvuoren ammattioppilaitos. This training allowed me to explore and excel in various roles throughout Europe, from sales management in prestigious stores to senior positions in the bustling kitchens of Milan and aboard the Kristina Regina, which sails the Baltic Sea. In particular, my experience at Obicà Mozzarella Bar has been a significant part of my career, where I progressed from Mozzarella Bar Manager to Buyer and Quality Controller, overseeing operations in Italy and the UK and eventually for the entire Group.”
