NORDIK.HOUSE Nordic embroidery

Immerse yourself in the world of basic embroidery and take your first steps in Nordic embroidery, a tradition for embellishing fabrics and tea towels made from honeycomb. During the class you will have a chance to try simple stitches with your own hands.

The course is suitable for everyone from age 6 and up, and no experience of any kind in embroidery or sewing is required. In Finnish schools, this type of embroidery is the first work learned around age 7.

Materials included: test fabric, colored threads and the ‘needle.

If you want you can bring your own honeycomb item to decorate it, for example a shopper or towel, etc. Otherwise you can order at the time of confirmation a 30×50 cm towel or shopper bag.

The course will be confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 5 registrations.

Nordic coffee with cinnamon swirls will be served during the class.
